The Nike Dunk SB High Sea Crystal was one of my first “grails”, and the first pair I copped were beat! The shoes get their name from the colorway.
Back in the day, it was enough to own a pair, as these used to command serious dollars on the resale market. While the pricing has calmed down on these a bit, they still remain a silver box classic in an elite group of perfect SB dunk highs.
Even though I started off with a beat pair of these, eventually I was able to get this much nicer pair although I’m struggling to keep them clean. That color and material combo is a dirt magnet! That’s why it’s so hard to find decent looking pairs of these around. If you want a classic shoe that epitomizes the quality and comfort of the silver box era, look no further than these!
I find wearing these with black outfits works the best. I would try to minimize the amount of green or teal in the outfit and let these kicks do the talking!
How Are The Materials?
These are BUTTER. Just like many other silver box highs, the suede quality on these is superb. The only downside as mentioned earlier is that the shoe gets dirty easily. I find myself having to clean them before and after just to keep them from looking beat. If you are not familiar with using a suede eraser and brush, these may not be for you.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Dunk SB High Sea Crystal fit true to size. You can also size down a half size and these will still be comfortable. That suede is so premium and allows plenty of give. This shoe is definitely from the days before SB dunks came super stiff out of the box. Now it seems the brand is more about keeping the shape of the shoe rather than buttery comfort.
